I added the GeneralSync add-on to Thunderbird a few days ago. I was having issues making it work so I removed it. Now I want to add it again but its not appearing in the Thunderbird add-ons search. I have managed to download the .xpi file for the add-on, but can see no option in Thunderbird to install it from the .xpi file.
Update: I have managed to manually install the add-on. Not sure why it's still not searchable though.

The add-on search in Thunderbird only displays add-ons that are distributed and publicly available through addons.thunderbird.net. The GeneralSync integration add-on is not present there, as the add-on does not work on its own (it requires GeneralSync to be installed and running).
