Renaming GeneralSync Address Book

I have a number of existing contacts in Thunderbird in my Personal Address Book. (This address book is created by default in Thunderbird, and cannot be renamed or deleted.) Is it possible to create an account on my phone with this same name and sync it with this address book in Thunderbird? If I rename the GeneralSync Address Book within the Android app and the Dashboard, nothing changes. (Both the Contacts app and Account settings still display "GeneralSync Address Book".) If I create a new address book within GeneralSync (app and dashboard) named "Personal Address Book", I see a new account with that name in Settings. However, the Contacts app displays two accounts named "GeneralSync Address Book", and neither of them are syncing with my Personal Address Book in Thunderbird.

GeneralSync will only ever sync its own address books. A GeneralSync address books contains additional data required to perform the sync, which is not present in a 'normal' address book.

To sync your existing contacts, you need to copy or move them into a GeneralSync address book. You can, for example, select all your contacts with Ctrl+A and then use the mouse to drag them onto any GeneralSync address book while holding the Ctrl key. Thunderbird will then copy your contacts. Once your contacts are in the GeneralSync address book, they should appear on your smartphone as well (as long as the specific address book gets synced to the smartphone).
